Enter the term(s) you wish to search for into the Search term box, then either click the Search button or press [Return]. Click Clear to clear the entry in the Search term box before performing another search.

If you wish to scan a list of records and then look at one or two in further detail click the Brief radio button and then refine your display choice by selecting display fields from the drop down menu. If you want to go straight to the more detailed record, click the Full radio button and select the display fields from the drop down menu.

Use the General search option to search in all indexed fields, and for all media types. If you want to search for a specific media type (e.g. video, text) and/or in specific fields (e.g. to search for an author name only in the Author field) then you should use the Advanced Search.
